HALLMARK EASTER ORNAMENTS

Hallmark Keepsake ornament collectors enjoy displaying their favorite ornaments  all year-round.  There was much excitement among collectors when Hallmark introduced the Keepsake Easter/Spring Collection in 1991.  The ornaments in this collection reflect the activities and delicate colors of the  Easter holiday and the season.  Many of the new designs portray playful animals celebrating traditions like painting Easter eggs or going for strolls in the warm sunshine.  The Easter Collection are carefully painted by hand in beautiful pastel colors.  The size of the Easter/Spring ornaments are just right for decorating a small tree, an Easter wreath, or even an Easter bonnet.
Four commemorative captioned Easter ornaments were introduced in 1991.  These include "Baby's First Easter", "Daughter", "Son", and "Grandchild".  The ornaments were designed using bunnies as the theme.  The Grandchild ornament shows a little bunny galloping on a rocking horse.  He is wearing a cowboy outfit and a polka-dotted bandana.  The rocker reads "Grandchild 1991".

The first Easter Daughter and Son ornaments show two bunnies carrying carrots.  The 1993 Son and Daughter ornaments were lambs and in 1995 the design was little chicks.  All keeping in the spirit of Springtime.   The Baby's First Easter ornament shows a little bunny tucked in a basket beneath a hand painted quilt.  Across the quilt is a banner that reads "Baby's First Easter 1991".   Pictured below is "Baby's First Easter 1994".

The Hallmark Keepsake Easter/Spring Collection also produced several series ornaments.  Some of these include The Garden Club, Apple Blossom Lane, Springtime Barbie, Eggs in Sports, Easter Parade, Here Comes Easter, Springtime Bonnets, Easter Egg Surprise, Easter Joyful Angels and Beatrix Potter.

The wonderful animals and the beautiful pastel colors of the Hallmark Keepsake Easter ornaments bring a welcome reminder that Spring is in the air.
